Someone to go with
A lunch, a trip, a match. Small enough that you talk to people.
You already have a Peer Group. Care to join?
There is nothing to sign up to. If you study one of the majors below, this is already yours.
What it is
Each community is a pair of related majors. Its members decide what happens in it.
A month in your community
Every community runs at least three events a month — one academic, one social and one professional — chosen by its own members.
Find yours
How the month works
Members suggest ideas in the community chat through the month. No format, no form.
In the last week, the leads turn the suggestions into one poll: social, academic, career — three or four options for each of the three events, plus your own.
The vote counts only if 20% of the community takes part. Six votes out of a hundred and forty is not a decision.
The result goes into the chat with the date and room already booked, and onto the calendar.
Some communities span four years and will be large. Nobody needs a hundred and forty people to feel close; they need fifteen at a Tuesday lunch. The community is the pool. The event is where it actually happens, with a different fifteen each time.
Why three
Never Walk Alone is where all three councils actually reach you. That is why it sits under everything in the structure.
A lunch, a trip, a match. Small enough that you talk to people.
A study session for the course your major finds hardest.
An alumnus, a recruiter, a CV evening built for your major.
Lead one
Each community has two student leads. They run the monthly poll, book the rooms and make sure all three events happen every month. If you would do that for your own major, message us.
